Case Closed!

I dunno about you, but some of my favorite television shows have to do with solving crimes, most have to do with murder. Now I have never cared to read a lot of murder mysteries, mainly because the author has the tendency to make the plot too cheesy or turn it into a thriller. None of which I like.

The first television show which I have loved for years is...Monk. America's favorite OCD detective. Adrian Monk was a terrific unique character and there wasn't a case he couldn't solve, even his wife Trudy's murder was left unsolved for years. I won't give away any spoilers to those who haven't seen the last episode of the season, but it's not only a tear jerker, but justice is served in the end!

The second show which I have recently became a fan of was Psych, another USA network television show about the SBPD. Where Shawn and Gus work free-lance for the Police with the help of Shawn's 'psychic' abilities. When in reality he is sort of like Monk, only with the mind of an eleven-year-old boy.

Another show which I have been watching for years, is NCIS. I watched JAG when it was still running and then after NCIS came onto the air, I began watching it. I have probably seen every episode almost a hundred times. Since USA often has NCIS marathons on the network as well as in the evenings. Needless to say I'm a pretty big fan of the show.

Finally the last show, I saved the best for the last, is The Closer. Which has to be my favorite show! I love how little Brenda bosses all these guys around and who doesn't love her parents, they're a hoot! The characters dispositions of The Closer have not changed in the slightest, where as with NCIS it has, another reason I love the show. I am a recent fan of The Closer and can't figure out why I didn't start watching it sooner. Now every Monday when they have new episodes my DVR is set to record!

What are some of your favorite crime/cop shows? Are any mentioned above?

  1. Love them all, for different reasons. I wish that Monk was still on. I could never tire of seeing him. But I suppose its best if a show ends on a high note rather than a low one.

  2. Never cared for the ones above. Mostly cause we don't have cable and they never really interested me. I preferred "Murder, She Wrote", "Law & Order", "CSI" & "In Plain Sight". (:
